Our most famous traditional dishes are pastitsioGreek salad, and bean soup. 🍽️🇬🇷

Pastitsio is a baked pasta dish with minced meat, béchamel sauce, and cheese. It is one of the most beloved Sunday meals in Greece, prepared for family gatherings and celebrations. 🍝🧀

Greek salad, known as horiatiki, is made with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, olives, and feta cheese, seasoned with oregano and olive oil. It is colourful, healthy, and represents the Mediterranean diet perfectly. 🥗🍅🫒

Finally, bean soup (fasolada) is considered the national dish of Greece. It is made from white beans, carrots, celery, and tomato, and it’s a warm, nutritious meal for the winter.

We had a great time learning about our national dishes and sharing them with our eTwinning partners! 💙🇪🇺

Greek pupils actively participated in the logo creation process of our project “Cooking Around Europe”. They discussed ideas, drew sketches inspired by national dishes, and worked collaboratively to design the final logo using digital tools. The activity fostered creativity, teamwork, and cultural exchange among students.
