Turkish Cultural Dishes

Logo Design Story

  1. As part of our collaborative project with partner schools across Europe, each country created a logo reflecting an element of their national cuisine. Since the other Turkish partner chose a food dish, we decided to offer a different perspective by focusing on traditional Turkish beverages. To make the process more democratic and engaging, we organized a student vote, where everyone had the chance to choose the drinks they felt represented our culture best.

  2. The results highlighted three iconic beverages:

  3. Ayran, a refreshing yogurt-based drink known for its simplicity and long-standing place in Turkish meals.

  4. Tea (Çay), a symbol of hospitality and everyday life in Türkiye, enjoyed in almost every home and gathering.

  5. Şalgam, a unique fermented drink from the southern regions, famous for its bold flavor and cultural depth.

  6. By combining these three culturally significant beverages in our logo, we created a design that not only reflects the richness of Turkish tradition but also represents the collaborative and inclusive spirit of our project.
