The Cooking Around the EU adventure continues!

We have included three national dishes in the logo of our project.

Latvia, located in the heart of the Baltic region, boasts a rich cultural heritage, and its cuisine is no exception. Among the many traditional dishes that stand out in the Latvian culinary landscape, vegetable salad "rasols' is a favourite. It contains peas, eggs, pickles, onions, carrots and potatoes.

The cold soup is a vegetable soup made from beets, fermented milk products (sour cream or kefir), cucumbers, boiled eggs and herbs (onions, dill and/or parsley).

Semolina mousse is a sweet dish made from boiled  and whipped semolina and a fruit or berry mass (juice, puree, jelly, jam, etc.). Semolina mousse is called "debesmanna" in Latvian.
