From Türkiye to Spain: İrmik Lokumu (semolina delight balls

No-Bake / Very Easy / Turkish Traditional Flavor


 Ingredients


* 1 cup semolina


* 1 cup sugar


* 1 cup milk


* 1 cup desiccated coconut (plus extra for coating)


* Optional: a few drops of rose water, small pieces of Turkish Delight, crushed pistachio or walnut


 Instructions


### 1. Heat the mixture


Put semolina, sugar, and milk in a pot.


Cook for about 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring until the mixture thickens 


2. Add coconut


Remove from heat.


Add 1 cup of desiccated coconut and mix.


Let it cool until warm.


### 3. Shape into balls


Wet your hands slightly.


Take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a ball (about the size of a walnut).


Optional: place a small cube of Turkish Delight inside.


4. Coat with coconut


Roll each ball in extra desiccated coconut until fully covered.


Put the balls in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes to firm up.


Result


Soft, sweet, coconut-covered Turkish-style delight balls.
